In the late 1950s, the U.S. Air Force set out to prove that a human could survive a fall from the outer limits of Earth’s atmosphere. After deploying his primary parachute, Kittinger fell for over 9 minutes before he reached the ground. During his fall he experienced a minimum temperature of -94 degrees Fahrenheit and a maximum speed of 614 miles per hour, according to the National Museum of the Air Force.
Can you imagine jumping from 100,000 feet? Joe Kittinger is RAD.
(Love his crewmate affectionately flipping him off at the end.)

So I got this movie from Netflix today, and I haven’t seen it since I was in high school. To demonstrate how amazing this movie is, here’s the description from the Netflix sleeve:
“Struggling chef Amanda (Sarah Michelle Gellar) just isn’t cutting the mustard, but her souffles begin to improve thanks to a MAGIC CRUSTACEAN in this love story infused with culinary delights. Smitten upon meeting Tom (Sean Patrick Flanery), Amanda is given a crab from a caring cupid, and her dishes begin to cause a certain magic of their own.”
In this movie, a magical crab waves his magical little crab arm and magical things happen. BEST MOVIE IDEA EVER.
“People are taking the piss out of you everyday. They butt into your life, take a cheap shot at you and then disappear. They leer at you from tall buildings and make you feel small. They make flippant comments from buses that imply you’re not sexy enough and that all the fun is happening somewhere else. They are on TV making your girlfriend feel inadequate. They have access to the most sophisticated technology the world has ever seen and they bully you with it. They are The Advertisers and they are laughing at you.” -Banksy
Florence + The Machine make me happy!
